Colloquia
Each year, a colloquium will be held covering research, including that of the IGERT Fellows and associates, spanning to topics in the 6 Integrative Research Clusters.
The colloquia will provide Fellows with:
- research options helpful in solidifying dissertation research topics and training plans with the mentor committee, and
- a venue for IGERT faculty and second-year Fellows to discuss research and recent advances in their field.
The colloquia and the required core and elective course work complements existing graduate curricula and requirements of the participating schools and departments. Presenters include IGERT Faculty and second-year IGERT students. The colloquia is integral to first-year students’ introduction and orientation to the training program, and exposes students to the integrative research and latest developments of the research being carried out within each of the research areas.
